FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • 1. Please come with dry, clean or “day old” hair (however your hair usually styles best, just want to avoid excessive oil.)

    2. Bring 1-3 inspiration photos (ideally back, front and side views. best if the hair color in inspiration photos matches your hair color to ensure realistic expectations.) If you already have hair inspiration photos, please send them to me ahead of your appointment.

    3. Wear an appropriate top (something without a collar / hood so you don’t mess up your hair when you change). A neutral top with a similar neckline to your event outfit works best for visualizing the full look.

    4. Wear your hair down on the morning of your appointment (helps to prevent flattened roots)

    5. Bring your wedding day accessories (hair accessories, jewelry)

  • What are your goals and objectives? Are you looking to add volume, fullness or length for occasional use or for everyday hairstyling?

If you are looking for special event / temporary extensions, clip-ins are a great solution.

    • For clip-in extensions, I usually recommend Luxy classic or seamless sets. They have a convenient color match feature on their website. My clients have had success with it!

    • Bellami is another reputable brand for clip-ins.

    • Some clients really like Halos, but in my opinion, the halo construction is a little less customizable for formal styling. (It depends what hairstyle you’d like to do!)

If you’re looking for a more permanent solution, sewn in extensions are great for everyday wear. They are a much larger investment and require more maintenance (needing to be moved up every few weeks), but some brides like to get them for the year of the wedding so they have additional hair for all of their wedding related events.

    • I don’t offer this service, but there are lots of stylists who specialize in it. I’d be happy to share some recommendations if you’d like to go this route!

  • A 20% deposit, along with a signed contract, is required to confirm your booking and reserve your event’s date with me. Deposits are non-refundable and will be applied to the total package cost. My clients pay the rest of the balance due no less than 5 days before the scheduled event.

Gratuity is never expected by me, but always appreciated!

  • I budget 60 minutes for the bride and 45 minutes per bridal party appointment. You don’t have to assign names to each timeslot, but sometimes it’s nice to do so to ensure someone doesn’t end up needing both services at the end.

  • Signed contract and deposit. Confirmed # of services for the event (you will be locked into this number). For groups of 5 or more, a second stylist might be needed depending on your timeline. I am honored to be considered for your special day! I thoroughly enjoy connecting with my clients and try to go above and beyond to earn your trust and ensure your happiness throughout the process. My mission is to provide high quality work and bring a sense of ease to your day. In addition to hair services, I assist in creating a proposed timeline for hair and makeup to reduce stress and preserve timeliness. Please note that sending in a contract does not guarantee a booking. I will reach out to you within 3 business day to confirm my availability (full disclosure - I receive multiple inquiries for most dates).

  • 4-6 weeks before your event date. I usually recommend it closer to the date so the bride’s hair color & length are similar to how they will be on the wedding day. I also think it’s helpful to bring wedding day accessories to the trial (veil, hair accessories, jewelry, etc) to see the full look. But that’s not required. Some clients like to schedule their makeup trial & final dress fitting on the same day to truly see the full look together. This is a great idea! I budget 1.5 hours for the hair trial appointment. I schedule trials at my studio on Mondays & Wednesdays between 9am-5pm.

  • I have a strong connection with the creative community of vendors I’ve worked with over the years and am always happy to send recommendations your way. Whether you’re looking for other hairstylists, makeup artists, photographers or more - I’m here to find the best match for you! Simply email me with any specific requests.

    • I love to help my clients bring their vision to life and truly enjoy working on a variety of styles (modern, chic, boho, upstyles, down styles, half-ups and everywhere in between). However, please check out my portfolio to get a better feel for my work – I tend to lean more whimsical and romantic. If that’s not your vibe, I’m happy to share other recommendations with you!

    • My favorite type of client is the one who is collaborative, kind, excited and open to letting me be their expert. They don’t need to be good at styling their own hair, because I’ve got their back and have all the experience necessary to create a quality, lasting look with a luxury experience to match!
